Hi everyone,

Our previous thread of a prototype catback is now in production and we wanted to make a revised thread.

We have two versions:
Laguna 90- This is for those who don't want their ears to bleed. In a full catless exhaust system we measure under 90dB at the Laguna Seca spec of 30ft and 30*.
WEIGHT
Muffler= 8.7kg
S Pipe= 2.2kg
Mid Pipe= 4kg
Total = 14.9kg

Laguna 100- This is a for those who don't have track sound requirements. In a full catless exhaust system we measure under 100dB at the Laguna Seca spec of 30ft and 30*
WEIGHT
Muffler= 3.6kg
S Pipe= 2.2kg
Mid Pipe= 4kg
Total = 9.8kg

Both systems took over 2 years to develop. The Laguna 90 measured less then a 2HP loss compared to a straight pipe (Tomei 60R or others), while the Laguna 100 could not measure a differnce. We will release dyno data (on the dyno of their choice) for anyone who wants to pay for the dyno time and the straight pipe exhaust system.

We have our data but don't feel like getting into dyno debates. Cash talks.

The Laguna 90 is for those who have a dB requirement at their track or do not want to draw attention from the police on the road.
There are video clips to hear both inboard or external in a youtube search.

The Laguna 100 is a straight pipe version. No muffler, not cats and sounds like a straight 6 M series BMW. This version is currently used by our ACE factory car and the current point leader in the Qatar Touring Car Championship. (apologies for the photo, this version has not been in the photo studio yet)

These systems are new and may not be listed yet, but can be purchased through:

Muffler, s-pipe and mid pipe total to approximately 19.5kg (~43lbs)

Oops didn't do that. Thanks!

Never thought they would come out with the exhaust that heavy. I'll keep my fart can for 20lbs weight saving. Still love their CS400 tho.

how about the diff cooler? will this be affected by the heat generated if we consider the laguna 100? it will be exactly in the center i believe.

Should not cause anymore heat then a stock muffler.

The location of our "axleback" fits exactly where the OEM axleback is fitted. The "s"-pipe location is differnt then stock but still has a good amount of clearance to the diff.

Of course, there are always exceptions but it will work with the Harrop or Greddy diff coolers.

Sounds great, I really don't know who the way to go.
Either way I'll have a decision by the end of the summer, should have some funds available by then.
Keep doing what you do!

This sound awesome. How easy is the bumper mod?

Do you happen to have the Laguna-measuring dB levels of the stock catback (with otherwise same catless exhaust) for comparison? Would love to hear a comparison of the two shot from the same camera to get an idea.
