2014 Scion FR-S Convertible rendering
found this on CarandDriver.com
it is confirmed. http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-rendered-news http://media.caranddriver.com/images...-s-429x262.jpg doesn't look too bad, but i shudder to think of what it could do to the weight balance |
Not too bad looking. I would have liked a power hardtop, but hey they are cutting costs.
|
luv it
|
Never really been a fan of convertibles unless it's a targa. No thanks!
|
I'm guessing that's the reason the car is a coupe and not a hatch back. It's easier for the design team to make the changes necessary to make a convertible.
Also, it will keep the weight of the car down if they make the top manual and not automatic. |
would be a fun drift car, gotta love drifting with a chopped top
|
we all kinda guessed it. But still no confirmed year... "likely" a 2014. I'm leaning towards maybe a 2015 model.
I know a few girls who would love this since they already love my BRZ. |
Just wait until these things start getting aggressive stance and wheels/tires + roll cages. Will look badass. Sorry S2000!
|
good deal for the consumer's. more options is a good thing. im not a fan of convertibles tho. if you want to be in the open get a motorcycle.
|
Hate to say it, but another source (which I sadly don't have time to search for) says that this won't be brought to North America.
And isn't this a repost? |
Another words, a bigger miata, wish they would have spent their time figuring out how to put a turbo in

Personally, I don't like convertibles. The only way I could even convince myself to get a convertible is if it's a hard top. I just don't like the shape of a car missing a roof, or the appearance of the convertible top itself. |
this is quite old, but anyways it will put another dent in the mx-5 sales for sure
|
Am I the only one bothered that they took the stock wheels and blew them up? They look like 19s. The photoshop needed to stop after chopping the roof for a more realistic view of what the car would actually look like.
