Bad flasher maybe? As easy as those things are to install it'd be hard to mess up.

SpeedyJay 01-27-2014 02:12 PM

What LED's did you replace?

I would also be guessing faulty flasher module.

Got it fixed, apparently having both front and back turn signals led amber messes with the car

the vendors i bought from said that only switch backs work with another set of leds
so i put switch backs in the front and amber leds in the back and that fixed the problem
having amber leds in front and back is what causes the problem

i already have switchbacks. :( guess i'll just contact the vendor i bought from and see what they have to say. @Diode Dynamics any ideas?

yea you should probably ask them, idk they also work with one set of leds in the back and stock bulbs up front

Diode Dynamics 01-31-2014 12:20 PM

It might just be a bad flasher module or perhaps it's not creating enough resistance for the bulbs to operate correctly.

Our flasher module works with LED's up front and normal bulbs in the rear etc...so I'd PM the vendor and see if they will send you a new flasher

Hopefully that helps a bit

The flasher that comes with the Buddy Club tails should be a LED capable relay (the one that came with my BC tails is) that technically should work fine.

I have the TapTurn flasher in atm that I installed before I got my Diode Dynamics switchbacks, but it won't be difficult to switch the BC flasher back in for a bit to test. Won't be able to do that until about noon tomorrow though.

I have LEDs front and rear...no problems with resistors in at both ends.

empower-auto 02-05-2014 11:47 AM

So is it impossible to have LED's front and rear with only a flasher module? I have 2 I can try. The Buddy Club one and also the CF18 from Diode Dynamics.

All you need is a flasher module designed for use with LED's, or inline resistors. One or the other, not both. (Although I'm not sure if it'll work with both). I have LED turn signals front and rear with an LED flasher module and all is well
