WTB - dual action orbital polisher
 

Looking to buy a dual action orbital polisher to do some touch up on my opti coated car. Some ice had slid off the top parts of the car (roof, hood, trunk) and left some light scratches. I had a Porter Cable 7424XP but it died on me... it would spin up fine but with any pressure it would just stop. And to top it off, it was then in a flood. I'm thinking maybe a Flex 3401 or something good enough for some scratch/swirl removal. I'll consider almost anything as long as it works and the price is right :)

Get a flex seeing as you've had a pc before. GL on finding someone who is willing to part with one. You're more likely to find pcs from people upgrading.

yea might just buy one. noticed a whole bunch more swirls/light scratches after i washed it yesterday. $450 once was enough for paint correction and opticoat. i'd rather just get the good stuff and do it myself whenever it happens. New York + winter = terrible looking cars :( so much crap getting kicked up on it all the time and freezing to it
