I think mine just started doing this today, around 1500 miles on the odo. Probably the hottest day since I have picked it up. I noticed it when running through the gears on 2-3 and 3-4 hard then did what you did just rev'n and got the exact same sound you did.

I thought it sounded like it came from the rear maybe but I did have my windows down.:iono:

It kind of sound like a higher frequency version of the noise when I do engine breaking in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear below 2k rpm. Especially at 1500-1700 rpm. Can you try engine break in 2nd gear at below 2k rpm and see if you hear the lower frequency version of this noise?
