I need to make brake pad adjustment.

Hi everyone. I have a brake pad question: I have been running Carbotech XP8 front and my autocross pads (Ferodo DS2500) on the rear when on track for the past year or so. This is my second full year doing HPDE and TT. Tonight at a TNiA at Pitt Race (which is known to be hard on brakes) I started to get some fade, and it was annoying. This is really the first time I have noticed it with this setup. (FWIW I changed the fluid a few weeks ago, and did a HPDE weekend at Putnam two weeks ago with no issue). I think I need to "go up one notch" on the track pad scale. I am interested in your thoughts. Thank you!

If you like Ferodo, the DS1.11 in the fronts work great. Otherwise, just up the Carbotech compound and try an XP10 or XP12. All of these are going to make more noise and dust than what you've got, the XP10 isn't too much worse on noise and dust than the XP8's but they might not be enough pad for you.

You've got enough rear pad for just about any application with the DS2500.

Thank you. I am going with the XP10's.

@14stu, are you aware if the DS1.11s are a direct swap on an existing rotor hat if you're running DS2500s?

They are, I went straight from the DS2500 to the DS1.11 without any issues. I did spray the rotors down with brake cleaner and bedded the new pads though. The DSUNO work similarly but I preferred the DS1.11 to the DSUNO's.

GLoc/Carbotech are the last set of pads I'll be testing out once my DSUNO's wear out (they are wearing well, which is nice but they aren't my favorite pads since I like more initial bite and they are a less grabby than the DS1.11's). I've got a set of GLoc R10 I'm trying next (I'm running GLoc's in the rear and liking them).

I've been experimenting the last 2 years with pads and the DS1.11's have been my favorite so far.
