If you could buy a new exotic, would you?

Would you buy a Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, or similar if you had the money. I don't mean you're a billionaire. I mean you can afford it without destroying your future.

Here's my dream car: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...i/2098032.html

Only 300k. Yikes!

If I could afford it? Hell yeah!

But it'd be something relatively modest.

Lotus Evora, Porsche Cayman, Lexus LC, etc.

lol if I could afford a LFA or Carrera GT, I would own one & daily it in a heartbeat ^^

That's not exactly a 'new' exotic :) But FWIW I also prefer old exotics (budget aside).

Nope. There are too many cars that I like that make much more sense.

Ultramaroon 06-03-2019 07:42 PM

I'd build an ultralight helicopter first.

ZDan 06-03-2019 07:48 PM

I'd buy a used IndyCar first.
Megafast street cars don't make much sense. And there are much better and cheaper ways to go way faster at the track...

Love the 512BB! But that dashboard looks like it came out of a Fiero :D

DarkPira7e 06-03-2019 08:05 PM

Nah. Cars made after 1995 are exotic enough.

FIFY

No. Only if I had tons of money, with like a Carleone lake side vacation house, and shower girls, like in Coming to America. My wife already said if we ever get that kind of money, I can have shower girls.

Since I'm on a fixed income now, I don't see that happening. Come on Power Ball.

What I do is buy HotWheels and cheapo die-cast metal cars in WalMart, CVS, wherever I see 'em. WAY cheaper, you get to have the 3 dimensional thing to enjoy, and no hearbreak of learning that the cars you idolized so much were actually super-expensive pieces of crap!

I bought a Fairlady Z 432 and a '69 Corvette ZL-1 in ~1/24ish scale at WalMart last week. Somebody knows what they are doing, those are two relatively obscure cars but there they were for like $18 and I had to have 'em...

shiumai 06-03-2019 08:37 PM

Sure, why not if I could afford it. Price is relative.

You buying that "stripper" and "hooker" Barbie too while you're at Walmart?
