the r version sounds promising

" but that doesn’t undo the underlying fact that this is a great car, and one that trounces its closest rival, the Mazda MX-5, in the fun stakes."

This is my favorite quote.

I've been wanting a miata coupe for years and it looks like a better one is finally coming to market thanks to Toyota/Subaru. I can't wait....TAKE MY MONEY NOW PLEASE

Enough with the convertibles. Bring on the sporty coupes

Put a set of UHP summer tires on there and see what happens. I bet it sticks like glue and plants the rear end better.

The green tires may give them a higher mpg, but I can't think any buyer for this car actually would want prius tires on this.

Looks good.

Given that they were testing a mule, there is still room in this article to think that the production version will polish up some of the remaining rough spots.

You can put me on the list for the Type R. :D

Give it to Clarkson and co at TopGear and lets see if it's really worth it's salt!

Probably already done, but you wont see the episode about it until after the Tokyo Motorshow, possibly just before it's actual release.

Well they better make it handle proper with whatever tires come stock. You know how many people buy cars and leave it stock. I think they'd be having quite the headache if every girl that bought their cute new car ended up around a pole at the first bend they drove around.

Say what you want, but I love his style of no BS car reviews.

says 34mpg, but I don't think you can really convert CO2 emissions to mpg... it is just supposed to tell you how "green" the car is.
