New to the forums - Where do you buy your mods?
Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forums and looking at getting an FR-S. It's a platform that I'm not familiar with (I'm sure not many people are since it's quite new), but where does everyone go to buy their mods? Are there any favorite go-to vendors that people use for FRS mods? I'm sure I can read all the threads but at the same time, there are a huge list of vendors and this may be a good way to put all the info together for new members like myself. I know some of the same vendors from other platforms that I'm familiar with, but seems like there are some specific FR-S vendors that do a really good job as well. I'd like to hear how you guys find the best vendors that provide the best deals/customer service and part availability. Do you just mass PM vendors? What other ways do you find out pricing for your FRS mods? |

Support the vendors that support this forum and everyone benefits. |
All the vendors here have great quality stuff. Sometimes they are a fraction more expensive than ebay or w/e, but it's worth supporting your vendors and the customer service you receive.
They also do deals all the time that are AWESOME. |

go to the part out sections, usually used mods are the cheaper, why buy new, unless its turbo parts or performace..

Check out the for sale sections here! The forum mods have done a good job attracting top vendors so you can feel safe purchasing from anyone there. Also, the group buy sections have some pretty good deals coming from manufacturers.
I always suggest supporting forum vendors as they give back to the community, plan events, and are really the driving force behind new products. We try very hard to bring new 86 stuff to the table while offering great prices & service - if there is anything we can help with, do not hesitate to PM us! |

hmm....but skip reading all the threads in the classifieds section... I think part of the fun of buying mods is taking the time to read through different threads and seeing what people like or dislike. It'll be time consuming but worthwhile. I'd start with the commercial classifieds. Personally, I would skip the group buys. I don't think its' very much savings and you have to wait a long time. My car journal also has a list of non-tuner beginner mods so you can check that out too http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41329 |
Find what you want in the general discussion forums, thats where the good product reviews are. Once you know what you want to purchase, it makes browsing the for sale sections a bit easier.
