Friends,

I just wanted to make sure everyone who is eligible for the College Grad. Rebate goes for it. :happyanim:

If you are graduating in the next 6 months or have graduated in the past 2 years, then you may qualify.

I'm working to get it. And, TFS is giving me a 2.99 rate. Best wishes to all of the First 86'ers!

Are you sure this applies to the FRS?

I just pre-ordered my FRS tonight and the dealer was saying if it arrives this month I qualify for the $1000 rebate. I graduated in May '10 so I'll miss it if the car arrives in June! Either way, yes it applies to the FRS.

Dont forget that if you're in grad school this applies too. Just bring a printout or acceptance letter or something like that.

The rebate applies only for leasing/financing if I'm not mistaken.

cto424 05-19-2012 09:24 PM

the grad rebate applies for the frs, at least that is what the sales manager told me.

BUT he also added that students/recent grads that have/had a deferred student loan do not qualify...

does anybody know if that is true? it doesn't say anything about student loan type in the "how to qualify". has anyone been able to take advantage of this rebate?

None of the dealers specified anything about student loans when I asked. They just wanted an official document from the school of some kind showing when I graduated.

They made a copy of my diploma, and also requested an "official transcript" which I had to visit the office of registrar to obtain, then trek back to the dealership to hand them. fyi

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to get all those documents ahead of time. Looks like right now I'll be heading 2+ hours north to get a car and running down to the school won't be an option at that point.
