Pictures of your radar detector setup

So I am getting a FR-S 2014 in a few weeks (after the new year) and wanted to get some ideas on how your radar detector is set up in your FR-S/BRZ? Share some pictures!

Is your detector hardwired? Anyone here got any creative ideas on a stealth install or a install that is (for the most part) hidden on a FR-S/BRZ?

Getting it hardwired is probably the best way to go.

I have an Escort 8500X50 Black and stretching coiled wires all the way to the cupholder/armrest area is a pain in the ass.

I have mine plugged into the glove box. The wire is barely noticeable.

I use one of those mirror mounts and run the wire down to the outlet behind the glove box.

I have the V1 and it fits perfectly right above the rear view mirror. You can't tell I even have a radar from the outside.
It's hard-wired with the wiring that came with it. The wire is tucked underneath the ceiling panel and loops into the passenger A arm and down behind the glove box.
I'll post some pics tomorrow

That's because you'll never be able to speed with that thing riding on the roof of an 86! :bellyroll:

That's because it's a tow behind model and the radar beams that come out of it are like an industrial microwave and fries the electronics on anything trying to catch me.............:confused0068:

In addition to hardwiring a V1, has anybody found a good spot for a remote display module?

Sorry for the tilted pics I have no idea why they did that after uploading, still trying to figure out this phone
Anyway, it's hard wired and it's tucked up under the ceiling board and into the passenger A arm and down. Still picks up radar perfectly even so close to the ceiling
Edit: apparently they're not tilted lol

Does it still read the rear signals? Seems a little high for rear monitoring.

I hardwired mine and placed the SmartCord mute button next to the shifter.

Yeah still picks up rear signals. I haven't had any inclination that it doesn't so far. Been up and down the turnpike and when it picks up a bogey from the front I try to pay attention to see if it picks it up just as far in the rear. Haven't had any problems that I can notice
