My Rear was hit, so I fixed it

A couple weeks back, some ass backed into my rear bumper while executing a failure k turn. I never found out who hit me and I was pissed that I was left this:

Thinking I needed a new bumper and hundreds of dollars later, I came upon this wonderful post: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17698

So I went ahead got the paint, clear coat and sandpaper from: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/
I also purchased a bumper repair kit to fill in the deep scratches as well.

Just like the original poster of constant sanding, multiple coats and I used a heat gun to push back in the pimple like bump in my bumper, this is what my results look like:

I still have to wet sand, compound and polish it after a couple days to really blend it in. I have a clear coat line but other than that it looks a lot better :).

Same shit happened to me yesterday I have a 12 inch long scrape in the same spot!!! No damage to bumper just no paint. I will be fixing this myself for sure. This looks great.

Good work. Looks good and will look even better after you are completely finished. That must have saved you quite a bit of loot. It makes me sick thinking of all these ass hats running into our cars without leaving a note. My car just seems to have an affinity to bird shit. It stays garaged yet as soon as I take it out it gets shit on. Can fuck up the clear coat if not removed properly and in time.

Wow nice, what did you do to get the dent to pop out? or did you have someone do that professionally

When you sanded the paint, wouldnt it be important to sand away all paint, leaving only exposed plastic, which would make the plastic adhesive promotor more sticky on the bumper? plastic adhesive promotr sticks best on bare plastic, i see you still have a thin layer of smooth paint.

however it looks fucking great. good job haahh

That is what we did.. that pic is actually what it looks like after we already added the bumper repair kit and re-sanded it.
