2017 86Day Dyno Day and Block Party

With the AE86 heritage running through our cars and the FR-S now officially the Toyota 86 in the US each year we like to come together on 8/6 aka 86Day to celebrate.

When: Sunday August 6 @ 10AM
Where: Mann Engineering
970 George Street
Santa Clara, CA 95054

This year we will be throwing a Block Party and Dyno Day at Mann Engineering in Santa Clara! We have our permit and have the street all to ourselves. We are currently discussion food options.

The event is FREE. You will need to pay Mann Engineering for dyno pulls and may need cash for food. But there is no cost to get on the street for parking and come to the event.

There are still rules!
No burnouts
No revving
No speeding
No loud music

A map will be posted shortly with parking info

Dyno runs will be $60 for 3 baseline pulls with no tuning or datalogging. Mann will be putting 6 cars on the Dyno that day but anyone who wants a baseline pull can register before the end of the event and schedule an appointment anytime in August.

Dyno details and registration below

If you sign uo for the dyno make sure to email Gary your mod list and transmission

I wanna go dyno my car!

Xxyion 07-19-2017 04:52 PM

In for Dyno. ALso when you say 6 cars. That means its limited to only 6 people? Were there too many people last year?

Xxyion 07-19-2017 04:54 PM

Also it's not allowing me to register on their website

BigFatFlip 07-19-2017 05:04 PM

@finch1750 Couple questions:
-Other cars allowed?
-Other cars allowed on the dyno?
-Are we playing the dyno game again?

Clipdat 07-19-2017 05:11 PM

Does the dyno also record curb weight? Would be an interesting comparison.

The registration button is not working on their website. I would love to sign up now for the dyno pulls if I can.

Last year was jam packed to cram all the cars in. Also, Gary will not have all his other staff that day so we cant logistically fit as many. But the promo is good for any runs scheduled in August as long as you pay by 8/6

Hmm, I'll probably have a rental car that day. I should get a minivan and see how badly it crushes the twins.

MyRx 07-19-2017 09:39 PM

dyno game: does the car have to be yours? Does it have to be an 86?

So Gary gave the OK on the discount for non-86 cars, but you won't be able to do it on 8/6 Day.

Looking at prior printouts it doesn't. Lucky for @BigFatFlip lol

Awww...where's the fun in that? Haha, guess I'll pass then and just hang out in the "outcast" section. Would still be fun to play the dyno game though haha
