NJ motor vehicle inspection with OFT stage 2 and catless UEL
Hey guys,
I am due for my first inspection this May and am wondering if I have to do a header swap back to stock and/or tune swap back to stock to pass. Any info is appreciated. |
If your ECU is "ready for test" with no Codes or Pending Codes you should be good with that part of it.
My local MV Inspection Station has the cameras build into the ground, so if they are paying attention that will probably notice the missing CAT. |
There's another thread about this floating around and I'm pretty sure the conclusion was that any tune that disables the cat CEL will keep the car from showing full emissioms readiness, thus leaving you unable to pass. I'm not 100% sure about this though and am hoping other more knowledgeable people will chime in.

In nj you just need monitors ready and no current pcm codes. The wheels could be being falling off and car on fire and still pass

No "sniffer" in NJ.

i just had NJ inspection done. they only test OBDII whether check engine is on or not.
i also have catless + phantom ESC + OFT. no problem at all. you'd be fine |
