BRZ intergrated mirror turn signals

16 Attachment(s)
Full replacement Led mirror turn signals convex and defroster polarized blue lens pictures of install.

The company that produces them Thespeedline cost about $105 shipped
Install requires removing the door panel, mirrors left and right side, and taping into the factory turn signal wires located beneath the drivers fuse box.
Install time 3hrs if you haven't removed a door panel, center shifter panel before.

Tools needed, wire strippers, Philips #2, socket and ratchet, nitrile gloves for rubber butyl removal, small angled wire cutter, heat shrink, crimpers, t-taps RED, zip ties, test light/multi meter, electrical wire to extended passenger wire to fuse box.
Quality of mirrors feel of good quality and workmanship I recommend these. REXS
EED mirrors come from the same factory as these without the intergrated turn signals FYI.

"Tip when routing wires from the mirror housing run the wires thru the top of the weather strip lining don't go thru the gasket between the door and body because it is one long piece starting from the top and runs down the gasket into the vehicle" if you ever seen the diode dynamics video on installing their full replacement mirror assembly they pull off the gasket and run the wire on top of the gasket and not inside, that can cause a short and wires are visible and can lead to chafing of the wires.

Certainly increases visibility a bit.

Any pics of what the mirror looks like with the LEDs off?

Any idea the cost?

Silver Cervy 01-26-2017 09:56 AM

Kind of stupid imo. If I wanted that I would've bought a mercedes

I'm surprised side blinkers weren't a standard option, almost all the cheap econobox cars have them already. They actually are very useful when changing lanes.

Convex too?

I just bought my 86 and I got these mirrors.
I'm thinking about bringing it in for them to fix some annoying rattling on both doors. Think I can convince them to install these for me when they have the door panels off anyways?
