SPC Toe Arms
I bought a set of SPC toe arms a few days ago. they came in and have this bracket on them that i do not see on any other pictures of the arms. Every source i check has the same picture. the part number on the parts seem to be correct but the vendor does not know if the design has changed.
Has anyone else bought these? if so can i get some confirmation if they are correct or not. thank you for any help. pics below. http://i67.tinypic.com/w2oyfd.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/s46knq.jpg |
Hmm, that's odd. I bought a set 3-4 months ago, but don't remember seeing that bridge metal. If it's bridging rod and bushing area, I'd think that's for added strength.

The bridge also has nut welded to it and they provided a bolt to go into it.

Just got some a couple weeks ago...no bracket...

Mine don't have that bracket either, but they are at least a year old.
Contact SPC and see if there was an update. |
Yea I emailed spc with no response yet. I will give them a call today.

While we are on this topic, what are aftermarket toe arms meant for (what's the benefit )? Increased rigidity ? |
Ohhhh for Toe adjustment. After lowering the vehicle and knowing what wheel/tire to go with, then you'd know if you want any toe + - adjustment .

Also curious about this as I'm thinking about getting the SPC toe arms and using them with the SPL lockout kit.
|
I could be wrong but the WRX might be able to use the same toe arm and they need that nut for their brake line. So SPC just decided to leave it since it doesn't cause clearance issues on ours?

Pretty sure the instructions even say this... This is the correct answer though. |
