Lets see your amp installs

Looking to do the JL box soon and looking for amp location ideas, ideally hidden away somewhere.

I'm installing the kicker 11pt8. It's a small self powered subwoofer, but I'll post picture when it's done. Gotta pick up some tools/parts during lunch!

Perhaps you could ditch those little 4" speakers in the back seat area and fab up some sort of mount back in there. I think there's a fair amount of space.

Not sure if this counts, but I fit a 10W7 in a JL spec ported box..... Amp is a 500/1v2.

My amp is a JL XD600/6, unfortunately I don't have build pics, and since mine was installed underneath the co-driver's seat, I doubt any pics would come out well. lol.

The audio shop said they chose that seat because the battery is on that side (RH) of the car.

the amp itself is pretty small, it was a tidy build. I have a 10" flat sub on the back, and 5" speakers in the back, and 6.5" comp in the front

Like to see any ideas, didn't think about behind where the rear speekers are might be plenty of room and don't plan on using them anymore.

Pry open the rear seat side panels and see what kind of space you have in there.
Also, you can use the space right behind the headlight and cover it with some custom carpet that matches color. Look for a good ground location and mount the amp there.

This just came to my mind. If you lift the trunk carpet, there is this foam with lug removal tool and some other stuff on the right side. You could ditch the misc tools and mount amp there. That place is also close to ground location.

Getting mine done tomorrow, I believe the amp is going under the seat... not sure driver or passenger.

Did my install, have a Kenwood Excelon XR900-5 amp under the drivers seat. It's a 5 ch amp, at 75w RMS for four channels and 600w RMS at the sub. That is running 4 Gauge power and 12 gauge to the sub.

The amp is in a loaner box until I can get the Integrity Concepts box for my car.

Sub is a Phoenix Gold Ti2 10" 600w RMS woofer. That makes me happy.
Currently learning where ALL the rattles are.
