That's a nice video, and nice times - about what I did in a stock STI on the ring.

Just for curiosity's sake, are the Rent4ring cars all set up the same? And what is the setup used in the vids?

Keep in mind that passing Ferrari's and GT3's isn't a measure of how fast a car is. On an open track day people are driving their expensive cars at 7/10 give or take depending on the driver and his/her knowledge of the Ring. I went out in a Suzuki Swift and was passing 911's, M3's and M5's all day long, but I was in a track prepped, fully insured car, they were all in cars they had to drive home after a day at the track.

This setup looks quick for sure, but they didn't even get a full lap, and I'm sure Dale wasn't going full out.

One of the guys I met driving another Swift that day took his MS3 on the track after he was done with his rental so he could just say that his car was on the Ring. His mate said that their brakes were cooked after about 1/2 a lap of 6/10 driving and they limped back in.

Unless you have really good tires and track spec brakes most cars can't handle 10m of full out driving on a track. I would do 2-3 laps in the Swift and would have to come in because the tires would start to go off...but at that point it was 30m of track time with a slight slowdown on the straight to swipe for another lap.

None here is saying that BRZ is faster than a Ferrari or a GT3 ;)
We just noticed how fast is that BRZ in the corners.

Consider that this BRZ has top class parts but not so much, tires, brake upgrade, coilover, cat-back and racing alignment.
It is stripped out with full rollbar, so the weight difference with a stock it's not a matter.
