How much for just the low beams? Is installation just the bulb or are there wires and ballasts involved?

$95 shipped within the 48 states. The HID kits are as pictured in the first post, including bulb, ballast, and wiring. All plug and play, no cutting or splicing of stock wiring is needed.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have in the meantime!

phanguy 08-16-2012 01:23 AM

Just got my DRL LEDs... They look nice from the outside, but you completely lose their functionality as DRL or high beams. Not sure if I'll keep mine in...

However I am very happy with the support and shipping speed of these guys so thumbs up for that!

DC-FRS 08-16-2012 06:28 PM

Switchback LEDs wont fit through the hole. Too wide by a small bit. Now have to ream the hole :(

Spartan65 08-16-2012 06:34 PM

What type of installation instructions do these come with?

The HID kits are 100% plug and play, so its mostly self-explanatory. However, we will be happy to provide instructions for you with whichever product you order. We can also tell you the easiest/best way to remove anything on your vehicle prior to install to help make this an easy and smooth experience.

Have you tried sliding these in at an angle? Check your PM!

I see that you have a diagram for the rear turn signal LED's but I didn't see any pricing/description. How much are these?

And regarding the resistor; do we need to cut wires for this? The warning seems to warn against mounting the resistor in the harness. Any other options to get normal blinking speed?

The rear turn signal L.E.D.'s are $12 each. I thought those were in the original post, i guess they got left out somehow. we will update it. Thank you for noticing that.

For the resistor wiring, no wires need to be cut. the resistors come with "splice crimps" for easy reversible installation. The resistor housing has holes for mounting them on the vehicle body. The reason behind the warning of not mounting them on plastic is because they do run warm since power is transferring through them and different thicknesses and types of plastic may melt, so in order to make sure that doesn't happen we recommend not mounting them on plastic.

As far as other options to obtain a "normal" blinking speed, there are replacement flasher relays that we are trying to obtain to supply to you all. More info on those will be available one we have them in hand.

Sorry for souding like a total newbie but after all the work i put into cars, i have never switched a bulb on one. I wanted to replace the DRL, it seems your LED is like a regular bulb? So when i bolt this in there the DRL will be brighter and white, how about the high beam, or this had nothing to do with the high beam?

These has nothing to do with the high beams and once you install them they don't funcation with the high beams. Then again why do you need high beams unless you going to get someone's attention

KillaFR-S 08-28-2012 08:47 PM

Pm sent

The DRL is a plug and play replacement. The light from the 9005 LED's is brighter and also a very nice white. Because the DRL also functions as the hi beam, you will only have the LED for hi beams. The alternative to this is replacing the DRL with an HID kit, however that isn't as cost-effective as the 9005's.

All PM's replied!

Great info. Let us know if you get some relays in. I'd much prefer those over crimp resistors. Then I'll be in for the blinkers front/back and reverse/plate/trunk lights.

I want the DRL but make sure it at about 6000k color to match my current lowbeam with 6000k hid kit.

TRD_86 08-30-2012 01:03 PM

Can you explain what is switchback front turn signal? why it produce 2 colors ? Do you have to modify the wire or is it just plug n play by replace the stock bulb ? Do you cary the white LED light for side marker ?

pyro530 08-30-2012 01:14 PM

Do we get a bigger discount if we buy ALL the bulbs listed?
If so, can you PM me the price shipped to 95973?

The switchbacks are 100% plug and play. The diodes are dual color run off of a single chip.

The white/amber switchback LED's are illuminated white with parking lights and blink in amber once turn signal or hazards have been activated as demonstrated in the video below.

Why wouldn't you just keep you stock amber bulb in then rather than switching to an amber/amber LED?

Also, on another note, is this pricing just special pricing for a limited time or will this be for good? I only ask because I know I want to do most of this, minus the DRL bulb, but I feel the need to wait at least until I receive my car (it is on order) before ordering parts for it.
