Hey guys, a little update for anyone that is interested.

The Racers Line is no longer accepting appointments and all work is being pushed over to my other shop Contra Costa Auto Service. Many of you have already experienced my fantastic team over at CoCo, and they are looking forward to seeing more 86's!

To be open and honest, this has been in the pipeline ever since acquiring the other shop, as I knew I couldn't handle the work load forever by myself. This injury has helped push me to the point of an early physical retirement.

An old high-school-era, downhill mountain biking injury, which has reared its ugly head many times over the years, has turned into a much larger issue recently. I am having quite a lot of trouble even holding certain tools and weighted things and am in excruciating pain for most of the day. I don't know yet (from the medical professionals) that I'll be able to return to working on cars at this same level I have been, but I am not going ANYWHERE in regards to the car world, and my business. I may no longer be the guy working on the cars, but I will be around to estimate, oversee, guide and educate you all through the process of modifying and maintaining your 86, just as I have for the past 7 years.

I will never be able to thank this community enough for the support, but I'll do my best to continue keeping these cars on the road and track in the best shape possible. I also will be transparent with the fact that Contra Costa Auto Service, will not be able to provide every single service TRL did. However, we will do our best to have a solution or recommendation for most scenarios and still have partners throughout the industry to get things taken care of. I hope in the future to still handle most of the FI work and track prep, while my amazing staff will diagnose, service and repair literally anything far above any dealershit level. In fact we already offer things that I couldn't before by myself, that they have already been doing over the past year (timing cover re-seals, P00A/P0018 codes, GDI servicing, etc)

In this transition, I ask for patience with myself and staff at CoCo. The best way to reach me for questions will continue to be email! We are going to do our best to keep things running smoothly, but it will take time.

I'll be in Santa Rosa for now.

Adjustment is for ride height with the coilovers. I don't have the equipment to do alignments at this time, but I'll be working with another local shop to offer the service.

Neal, I'm very happy for you bro. This is Shaun with the whiteout turbo FR-S. You fixed some leaking on my oil plate, and attached the air line to my blow off valve at EQ. Funny how you shared that day that someday soon you wanted to get your own thing going. Great to see that already happening!

I'll be in contact with you soon. Still need to upgrade my clutch.

Hey guys, it's taking a little longer then expected to get my forum name changed. For legal reasons I'm going to close the thread until it is.

Thanks!

Apparently no one can get a hold of Hachiroku and it is taking quite a long time to get my name changed.

Feel free to PM me, I am going to keep the thread closed until it is changed.

Thanks!

Edit:

Since this post was already here, I'll just put up what was done that day!

Took a drive up the Ground Control Suspension Systems in Shingle Springs,CA. They had prototype parts waiting for the F80 M3 we brought them. The whole crew of guys there were fantastic. We got a tour of their facilities and got to take a look at all their amazing new products as well as watch first hand how the suspension systems were designed and tested. They have a fantastic product line for the 86 platform that we will soon be carrying as well!
