iPad in the car?
Hey guys! So I was wondering if anyone else is planning on having their iPad somehow incorporated into the dash? This will likely be the set up I'll e going with. Especially if the FR-S can be purchased without a radio system. I've seen plenty of videos on YouTube and a few products available out there, but I will most likely end up making my custom mounting system.
Can any of you photosop gurus add an iPad to the car's dash? Could be a rough mockup. I just want to get an idea on how it looks. Getting the right size/proportions is the most important thing. Oh and it would be awesome if the iPad is white. Here are a few pics of the interior you might use: http://www.toyota.de/Images/toyota-g...81-1097613.jpg Here's a larger one Thanks! |

IMO the iPad is too big to try and actually mount into a car. If you have a 6" tablet I think it would be much more manageable.

pick up the HP Touchpad on firesale

365 for that wheel? Source? I thought it was around 320mm?

Sucks that mount is not available.

^ this is a bit too much "pimp my ride" status as oppose to what I am looking for :bellyroll: ... Just a simple mounting mechanism.
Yeah the iPad might be pushing it but I am not gonna go out and buy another tablet just for the sake of putting one in the car. I am just trying to utilize the gadgets I already have. If it's too big and just doesn't fit, I guess I might have to scrap the idea as a whole, but I hope that won't be the case. |

Or you can pick up the 7" galaxy tab, or the Amazon Kindle Fire. If I'm going to have a 10" tablet in my car, idk what I'd use it for other than GPS or music, but I have my smartphone for that :iono:

Or you could always go with a custom Carputer setup!

I cant help but wonder what Scion will put in theirs? :scared0016: |
yea a 7' android tab would be best, plus theres a app called Torque with can basically display anything like rpm, water temp, fuel ratio, speed, HP etc. in conjunction with a bluetooth obdII connector/ adapter, sorta like the the nissan GTR display ...the app is only for andriod tho
i will be getting a FRS with no navi option cause a tab is like 300 vs 2000 for a crappy non responsive oem navi |
