Removing Side Mirror Caps
Does anyone if it's possible to remove the side (paint-matched) mirror caps and re-install them without having to remove the whole mirror assembly from the car, and the small motor for tilting the mirrors in order to access the clips?
I imagine they should be able to come off like most of the other trim pieces, but I'm worried anout breaking a clip, and I don't know how easy it would be to get them re-installed and clipped in correctly. Has anyone tried this, or know if this is something that can be done just by prying the mirror cap off? |
Yes, they just clip off / on. Had mine off a couple of times with no issues.

For the benefit of anyone else wanting to remove the cap:

I'm planning to vinyl wrap my mirror caps, so this information was greatly appreciated!
