Decently priced exhausts?

Hey guys, any suggestions for a fairly cheap exhaust I can get for my brz (around 1k, either new or second hand)? I'm looking for a nice deep sounding one! Thanks in advance :)

We've got a few options available. Invidia is popular.

My buddy just got an MXP Comp RS catback and it sounds incredible. Bassy low tone at idle, racecar at WOT and it does not drone. Made by Mackin Industries is a plus. Price is fantastic

$569.00 at @fteightysix .com an extremely reliable board vendor. LINK

Pretty sure it's a 2.5" exhaust. The tips looked large and fully fill the bumper cut-outs. I don't have a size on those. Mackin Industries can be reached at Tel: (562) 946 – 6820 http://www.mxp-performance.com/?page_id=23

Whatever price it is, add shipping (a bucketload for something that size and weight from the US) and currency conversion (very poor and down 21% since this time last year). @DAEMANO and @mizzta21 this is an Australia thread - your commentary is likely to be misleading here.

**DISCLAIMER - Please add at least 1.36x cost for any number one of us non-Aussie 'MURICANS have quoted.

Actually @DAEMANO more like 2x unfortunately (most US suppliers - not all - charge an obscene amount to ship to Australia, and the way the Australian system works is that if the TOTAL cost including shipping is > $1000AUD we pay Import duty on the whole figure, and GST (Goods and Services Tax at 10%) on the new total.

So a US$700 exhaust which costs US$150 to ship to Australia becomes $1500+ AUD very quickly.

The UNres Perrin system sounds much better imho . . . . and a lot cheaper locally available.

Panman 07-30-2015 08:40 AM

Correct on Perrin - there are also some Australian players coming into the market - and loads of systems going secondhand on the 86/BRZ Buy/Sell/Swap Facebook group.

SME/PSR are local players, as are Ultrex who have a lot of experience in the Subaru world (hence the name) or on the east coast, 999/KLS - I have their catted header and OP, with Invidia catted Mid pipe and Q300 Catback.

Panman 07-30-2015 08:42 AM

I should also say +1 for either the Invidia or the Perrin - There is a GB underway with Carmods Australia on the Perrin catbacks at the moment.
