September 10th Registration Open Now!

Spots are on sale for the ATTS Beginner Friendly Track Day brought to you by SPDA-Online.

Experience the Driver Development Track at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport). This is a challenging 2.8Km track, redesigned and rebuilt a year ago. To make this day extra special, we're providing coaching for newcomers to motorsports. This is not a racing event, but a fun day to spend with friends in a low key lapping event where you can safely enjoy the limits of your vehicles.

There will be 4 Run groups, broken out by Skill Level:
Beginner
Intermediate
Advanced
Coaches / Volunteers

Helmets are required.

We will have Alligator Lapping during lunch time so everyone can experience the track at a leisurely pace.

Registration:

Is it just me or did we have no chance for the early bird special?

Martinius 09-01-2016 08:44 AM

^This. Still pondering whether I will make it to this event or not. My brakes might not be enough to get home safely :P

It was posted a long time ago on the SPDA site and FB page, I've just been too busy with life to post it here until more recently.

I'd suggest joining the FB group if you want more current info, I've been known to get busy and/or forget :D

It was actually seeing Drew's registration come through that reminded me I hadn't posted here.

Couple days left, still a couple spots left!

I'll be there to live vicariously through a STI driver.

I just saw the schedule. That's a lot of intermediates! o.o

The last two days that were calling for rain ended up having less than an hour of rain first thing in the morning, then were super dry and sunny all day. :D

Honestly, after being forced to drive my S2000 top up for the last few DDT schools due to instructor requests and the fact that the sun was blazing hot, I don't mind having the top up continuously and I actually like the rain. Completely different driving appeal and I like it!

Everyone should do a few lapping days in the rain. Lack of grip uncovers bad habits in a big hurry, at much lower speeds.
