Hey guys, thought I'd make this for whatever random DFW area related chat we might have.

Does anyone know of some good driving areas with abandoned parking lots / airfields / vacant roads / places that won't get you arrested for trespassing? Preferably without having to go too far out of town. I've spent some time with Google Maps and I haven't had much luck.

In Dallas, I've looked for years looking for vacant spaces and without setting something up with the cities or owner of the lots you're not gonna find one. There is a race track in Terrell, but the problem is that its a country club.

I knew about MSR and Eagle's Canyon. What's in Terrell?

I do want to hit some HPDEs this fall. Should be a blast.

Do Texas cops typically use radar detectors or are there a good amount that have laser / LIDAR?

Just asking for scientific purposes of course.

I do but I might be in Austin / New Braunfels that weekend, Dark Knight Rises comes out on the 20th and I'm planning on seeing it in Austin at the Bob Bullock IMAX, then Ghostland Observatory will be playing in New Braunfels the next day.

Sounds fun, I should be able to make it.

Anyone have any recommendations for places that'll do 3M Clearshield + window tint?
