Here is cnet's review:

http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gps-navi...ag=mncol;lst;1

I LOVE the idea, but its shortcomings in multitasking seem very "beta" like the review mentioned. I would like to get a new dash, but I might hold out until another software update or next generation.

quik1987 10-31-2011 03:38 PM

No 7" screen
No SD card slot
No USB/AUX
No DVD/Blu-Ray

In a day and age where they can make things like the eeePC, iPad 2, or Mac Mini in such a compact form they still can't make an awesome stereo the size of a 2DIN that's affordable.

^^ So true, I dont get why someone doesnt make an android based Double Din Deck, It could be affordable, and have TONS of options.

It needs to be done!

Do we think this would fit in the FRS?

Good idea for a start but should get better when the next generation comes along. Wait and it will be worth its price. For now, they need improve the features and how it performs.

What a hock of shit. What about Android? Blackberry? Windows Phone 7? WTF do I have to plug it in when bluetooth exists? GTFO, Go away and get back to us when you do something worthwhile Pioneer.

I would better get other HU with Bluetooth capability and USB.

:word:
No Android, WP7, Blackberry, and other OS = epic fail.

This looks super unpolished and too focused towards a certain group of people. It looks like they just released this beta form to see if people likes it and whether they should invest more money into it.

:word: I think they just wanted to be the first to have apps on a head unit. They just wanted to sell to those who wanted apps and simply ignored everything else. It has many flaws.

Geesh, a little harsh there buddy? After the reviews I've read I wouldn't buy it and the iPhone exclusivity bugs me too but it's a step in the right direction.

Bluetooth audio doesn't sound as good as a direct connection.. won't matter so much for pandora, but will for high quality MP3s or lossless audio stored on the device.. In this case I'm guessing it's plugged in becaues BT can't handle the data communication quickly enough (or at all?) that the phone and head unit need to function the way appradio functions.. I still wouldn't buy it.. I use an ipod for audio that I can leave hidden in the car, I don't want to connect my phone as well.. BT is fine for pandora and phonecalls.
