Anyone know of any good and reputable shops in the greater LA area?

This is my first Subaru and don't know any shops that cater to Subaru's. So does anyone know of any good and reputable shops that can work with Subaru's and is trustworthy? Something close to the metro LA area would be good, but I'm willing to make a trip if it's worth it. Thanks.

Things on my short list.

1. Oil change with some good syntethic oil.

2. exhaust install.

We're located just north of LA. We've been working on the FRS/BRZ since they came out. Give us a call 661-702-0471. You can ask for Casey the service writer.

There's a Cobb Tuning in Fountain Valley.
and Yimi Sport in Valencia.

Both have great reviews and know their way around a Subi.

Great! Thanks guys. I was just doing some reading of reviews of yelp and was getting worried. The two closest Subaru dealerships (Santa Monica & Glendale) have some crazy bad reviews regarding their service. Now I'm worried about how in the world I will ever get some of the issues fixed that I'm having now.

I've had Bimmers most of my adult life and have never had to deal with things like this and it's starting to make me regret ever trying Subaru. For those of you in the greater LA area what Subaru dealerships are you taking to have your warranty work done and are getting good service?

Garage Tuning in Orange, CA is a good option for modifications: http://www.garagetuning.com (the owner has a BRZ and has been doing Subies for 10+ years) I had my Subaru motor built there years back and they do all the stuff I don't do in my garage...

For regular maintenance, you can go for Suby Specialties in Monrovia if that is closer to you.

Fuzion Tekniuqe is located in Gardena, right off the 91 and the 405 freeways. We do everything from parts to vinyl wrapping to high quality HID to suspension and installation. We currently have two of our own FRS that we are working on. One we are developing a full lip kit, the other we are doing a full wrap and completely redoing the interior as we speak. You should come by and check us out or just come chill and talk about FRS and cars....

PS we do motorcycles too.

If you want your mind blown, you should at least visit AE Performances' shop.

I had accepted that I would never see an M1 in my life. I was floored to see one sitting pretty in their shop. In addition to the couple dozen or so other cars. Skylines, Silvias, GTRs, etc... Insane.

These guys race themselves, so their experience extends to what it actually takes to make a track/race car.

I've heard great things about them, never used them myself but check out their reviews on yelp!

Also, check out their vid on their site :P

Someone just recommended them to me a few days ago. I will check them out too. But I've been getting some crazy quotes to just to an oil & filter change and an CBE install while the car is up. I'm talking like $250 + for the job. At this point I might just pay a friend who owns a shop a $100 to borrow his lift for an hour and do the oil & filter and CBE install myself.

Sorry I wasn't at the shop when you came. I was busy running some errands. How did everything work out for you?

zoomzoomers 09-30-2012 11:51 PM

Hey Matt. Yeah too bad we didn't get a chance to meet in person, but the other guys treated me well and everything got done without a hitch. Thanks.

Unfortunate, but I'm glad everything worked out great. Hopefully we'll meet next time you come to the shop.
