Why does every thread in this sub forum devolve into Tcoat and Humfrz reminiscing about cars of olde...

The Dodge had just come off a nice run of placing in super street class drag races. The Fairlane needed some brake lines and a master cylinder to pass the safety check to sell but was very nice otherwise. The Comet needed some floor pans and quarter panel work but a quick bend and weld job took care of that. The interior was a bit shabby but not horrible. It was the top trim Caliente with a 289 so it sold very quickly for a very tidy sum. There was also another very rotted Comet convertible in the trade as a "parts car" but I think I kept the door handles and scrapped the rest so I don't count it. I didn't trade to keep either of those cars since I was getting married and was moving on to my more sedate station wagon phase. Which also was green (to start with). One of the very few existing picture of a car I owned back then. |

LOL Why not? They were green. How many "OH I like that" or "OH that sucks" posts will keep a thread alive anyway? |

I've always has green cars until inexplicably they started falling out of favor. There hasn't been a decent green car in 20 years. I would actually consider trading up to this combo...
