Will you test the big throttle body on the NA car or have already assumed no benefit? Thanks again. |

Perrin silicone intake hose mated with a TODA big throttle body(68mm.. 'big' as in relative terms obviously.. not really that much bigger) Hose is blinging with some Reflect-A-Gold heat wrap added too. Didn't know there was a 70mm TB released either, but as someone mentioned, a bit silly going that route when the stock intake manifold is 68mm.. derp. Here are some comparison pics of my TODA vs the STOCK intake. As can be seen the stock TB finish is quite rough and the taper has a little knuckle before the shaft. Not meaning to thread hijack here, but post-installation of the TODA definitely made the car feel more responsive. The P&P of that must have made an effect.. or maybe it was a placebo effect. The butt dyno usually doesn't lie though. Might do it next week or fortnight if I have some spare time. Also, for anyone contemplating this mod.. $250 is CHEAP. Sometimes I wish I lived in the states.. TODA set me back $1k. |
@stevo_12v
Ok u didn't dyno b4 or after but what's your impression? Any difference even by butt dyno? :D |

kw as in Killa Wasps But seriously, feels just a tad punchier. |

Did you see (or feel) lose torque at low RPM compared with stock one? Did TODA throttle body match stock ecu or need to tune? Thanks. |

I am still debating which throttle body I should go.
They are all pretty expensive and I never see any dyno result. TODA one looks like a taper design from 72mm to 68 mm (pic1) http://www.todaracingusa.com/catalog/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=198 The image (pic2) shows the taper structure can push the air flow. The revolution on is 70 mm, but there is one red adapter in the end. I am not sure that will be same function as taper or is useless How do you think? Thanks. http://revo-tune.jp/catalogue/detail.php?id=294 |
MAPerformance 68mm throttle body
I'll wait for @MAPerformance

Maybe a sort of sleeve?

Whilst at the workshop during changeover of the TB's we never got around to measuring the difference in sizes - in hindsight we should have. I'll most probably be doing that next week or next fortnight if I can book something in before the xmas holidays. |

When you plan to show the dyno result on NA? Thanks. |
