Braking is better with the pedal dance. Ebd will no longer be trying to make you spin and will allow trail braking. Its my preferance but its not for everyone.

I could be wrong, but I think it's the Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), that will interfere with trail braking?

As for the Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), which works like a pre-ABS system and reduces braking force on wheels that are about to loose traction individually, what is the disadvantage?

I will try it out next time and see if I like it and if it will make much difference to me at all, I guess that driving style dependant?

EBD really messes with braking and can spin you. Try trail braking one day properly and watch yourself either spin or have to back out and run off the track. It does all sorts of weird stuff.

Also overworks brakes, often resulting in increased and uneven wear. There are cars, where nannies work in more usable way, not in ours. I don't fault these much though .. as there is pedal dance :)

All right, I'll skip the 4 pots, try pedal dance and perhaps get new discs. Then take it from there...

Thanks guys.

Id also get some thermo graphic paint for the rotors. Ideally they should be around 350-550c. It may give you an idea on whats happening tempwiss.

Thanks, it would be great to know what's going on.

For anyone interested I found a brand called Tempil Tempilaq (http://www.tempil.com). On their website you will find places to order.

I'm in Europe and found it at www.euro-industry.com . I ordered 550C / 1022F and 649C/1200F, close to the DBA orange and red markings. I skipped the green marking, as I am sure that would be exceeded.

Yep thats who I'd use. We use their Temp Crayons at work for heating stuff sometimes. They work quite well. I noticed I went over the 630C on my Fronts when I had pads not up to the job. The rears only went up to the 570C mark from memory. I haven't reapplied any temp paint yet but my new pads which are meant for the track have kept me from going any higher for sure. Meanwhile I'm going significantly faster on them. Let us know how you go with it all.

Yes for sure! I will post about in my journal-thread, it probably won't be until the end of next month before I will have a chance to go to the track again.

Thanks for your help!
