I wouldn't say our exhaust is ever raspy, unless you add a header. If you were to add a front pipe, just make sure it's catted, and you'll be good.

The filter is already oiled, so you're good! You actually may have to wipe off some of the oil if there's an excessive amount on there. Make sure to wipe it off on the filter side where it clamps...
