You'll see that on both corners in the pictures, I think it's an optical illusion...

The 125kb rate is only used for non-essential functions like some radio and body functions if I recall correctly.

If a 125kb signal is sent out on the 500kb line, it will muddle the entire line...

Almost all, as in 95%+, modern cars use dummy coolant gauges. Your Astro is no exception as GM has been doing this for a long time, since 99 I believe.
