It's still possible to get them off center, especially if you don't gradually torque them in a 5-star pattern (torque all to ~40lb*ft > torque all to 88lb*ft).

I'd still highly recommend centering...

On the twins its hub centric wheels. Hub rings that fill the gap are recommended but not mandatory. All the lug nuts are tapered so in theory it should center the wheel without needing hub rings.

You could do a "quick & dirty" check by jacking up a corner and spinning the wheel against a straight edge.
