Technically without doing the "pedal dance" your not fully turning off all assists. I believe there is a cable or fuse you can also disconnect in general to disable traction/stability assists.

I also have a 2013 FR-S and have had no problems except for condensation in the taillights. Everything else have been amazing, although going from a Z06 to an FR-S/BRZ your definitely going to notice...
